AHL Roster 20M Salary Cap
Buyouts: There is a Salary Cap Penalty for realeasing a player with two (2) or three (3) years remaining on their contact. If you do release with player with more than a 1 year left of contract the penalty is that you must retain half of that players salary for the remaing years of his contract.
Example you release Taylor Hall 3yrs-7M/yr-1 way you must retain 3.5M for 3 years as a cap penalty. If you have a cap penalty that must be stated on your roster page.
FP Salary Adjustment:If you have to modify the contract of a player that you are promoting to a FP down to fit withinn the 15M for FP's, You must retain half of the difference for the remaining years left on all FP's contracts.
Examle Taylor Hall has a contract of 2yrs-7M/yr-1 way and he now becomes a FP and the contract needs to be 1yr-5M/yr-1 way you will have to reduce the contract years to 1yr left and pay the 2M of the difference of the salary reduction for 1 year.
