Draft Picks Can Be Included In Any Type Of Trade, And Draft Picks May Be Traded For Draft Picks. Picks For The Upcoming Draft And The One After Can Only Be Traded. For Example, In 2010 Only 2010 And 2011 Picks May Be Traded.
Owners May Retain A Portion Of A Player's Contract In A Trade.
Owners Cannot Trade For "Future Considerations."
AGREEING TO TRADES
If Two Owners Agree To A Trade, The Trade Will Be Put Through. Both Owners Must Accept The Trade On ProBoards Via A Post In The Trade Thread.
If An Owner Is Over The Roster Or Cap Limit After The Completion Of A Trade, That Owner Must Make A Corresponding Move To Be Roster And/Or Cap Compliant. Owners Who Do Not Comply Will Be At Risk Of Having Their Players Benched For That Days Games And/Or Future Days Until He/She Is Roster And/Or Cap Compliant.
After The Completion Of A Trade, Owners Must Edit Their Roster Page To Reflect The Transaction.
RETAINING SALARY
Salary Cap Cannot Be Traded. All Teams Must Remain At The 82 Threshold.
50 Percent Rule: Up To 50% Of A Player's Entire Contract Can Be Eaten By The Owner Who Traded The Player, And Up To 50% Of The Per Year Amount Can Be Eaten Per Season.
EXAMPLE: Player A Is Worth 4 Million X 3 Years - The Owner Who Traded The Player Can Retain Up To 6 Of The 12 Total Owed To That Player, And Up To 2 Can Be Retained Each Season.
Owners Can Only Eat A Portion Of A Player's Current Contract. Owners May Not Agree To Eat A Portion Of A Player's Next, Or Future Contract.

The Only Way An Owner Can Trade A Franchise Player (FP) Is If That Owner Is Getting Another Owner's FP As Part Of The Deal.
